LIVE Virtual Student Workshop

LIVE Virtual Student Workshops are available for any secondary school year level, tailored to your requirements. Virtual Student Workshops enable schools to select any of our sessions for up to 70-minutes–this includes time for Q and A. These presentations are an excellent option for Australian and New Zealand regional areas, digital schools, and those who potentially can't budget for interstate travel.

Combatting Porn in Schools

This video training explores the urgent need for schools to educate to prevent porn harms. It also provides insight into why there is considerable resistance within schools to address this topic and provides suggestions for moving forward.

The problem with Porn Literacy

This video training explores the problems with porn literacy–one of which is the failure to recognise the public health implications of porn impacts for whole populations.

3-part Virtual Workshop (senior students)

Welcome! Building Connected Relationships in a Porn Saturated Culture is a 3-lesson virtual workshop written by specialist educators for students aged 16-18 (Years 10-12 in Australia). Our pre-recorded presentations are an excellent option for digital schools, regional areas, overseas schools, and for those who potentially can’t budget for interstate travel within Australia.

Clean Sweep Unit: age 14-15

Clean Sweep is a 3-lesson unit written by specialist educators for teens aged 14-15-years old (Years 8-9 in Australia). The primary aim of this curriculum is to develop young peoples’ self-awareness skills surrounding the significance of personal choice. Whether these choices are engaging with online porn or engaging with other harmful material, Clean Sweep combines relevant conceptual examples with practical strategies designed to motivate young people to both recognise and evaluate their choices and values. Students can use these strategies to build cognitive fortitude and practice conscious decision-making skills—and avoid becoming passive spectators, vulnerable targets or instigators of harm within online and offline environments.

Brain Burger Unit: age 12-13

Brain Burger is a 3-lesson unit written by specialist educators for children aged 12-13 (Years 6-7 in Australia). Suitable for upper primary or first year of secondary, this curriculum challenges students to examine motives that often remain hidden behind their choices and online habits. By helping students recognise and take ownership of their ‘consumer’ behaviours, we allow them to explore and analyse the relationship that exists between subconscious thoughts and produced actions. It necessitates students engage with critical thinking processes such as self-awareness and self-regulation. The purpose is to establish harmony physically, mentally and emotionally. This premise is true whether they are consuming social media, analysing introduced ideas (by peers or media), news sources, or foodstuffs–each of which affects their growing mind and body.

Responding to Porn Culture Online Training (Organisation)

Having the knowledge and skills to build porn resilience in young people through education and counselling simply must be embraced by every school and wellbeing agency. This training enables you to take a step inside the online world of young people and understand the impact porn culture is having on them and their relationships. Over 11 video modules, gain skills to build porn resilience in children and young people through awareness, intervention, proactive education and advocacy. Bonus content included.

Umbrella Unit: age 6-7

Umbrella is a 3-lesson unit within IQ PROGRAMS, written by specialist educators for children aged 6-7 (Years 1-2 in Australia). Umbrella helps children identify and respond to ‘safe’ and ‘unsafe’ media, and develops their social and self-awareness skills when it comes to their online activity. The “umbrella” is one example used to assist students in making these connections, serving as a metaphor for protection and preparedness. Students learn their need to be prepared when they enter any new media environment. Students can then apply their umbrella when confronted with situations that make them feel unsafe, such as being asked to do risky things or seeing harmful media content.
